Fuck Yeah, History Major Heraldic Beast

Those who forget the past are doomed to fail the midterm.

The History Major Heraldic Beast will post anything pertaining to any field of history. The beast is aware that right now this blog is mostly western European/American history, but those have been the submissions popping up in the inbox. Don't be afraid to submit your wry observations about the Mali empire, or the Ming dynasty, or Clovis culture, or the effects of Soviet collectivization on the indigenous people of northeastern Siberia. They will be posted.

If it's tagged "submission", I neither made it nor wrote the commentary beneath it, unless the words "The Beast Says" are involved.

The History Major Heraldic Beast will not post submissions containing racial or ethnic slurs. Seriously, people, what the fuck. You know who you are. Stop sending them in.

My friend was looking through my collection of books and noticed that most of them are about conquers, wars, and leaders throughout history. She told me I should stop reading boring books like those and read “50 Shades of Gray” instead because that was more interesting.

The Beast Says: Introduce her to Casanova’s diaries. Or 120 Days of Sodom. Donatien Alfonse François de Sade takes about the same approach to consent as Christian Grey.
